Matheus Moura, Manager of Transaction Management
Matheus has more than 8 years of experience in the forestry and agribusiness sector. Matheus is responsible for timberland origination, acquisitions and general transaction efforts. Prior to joining TTG, Matheus was the Business Development Manager at Grupo Orsa in Sao Paulo, where he was responsible for M&A activities and Strategic projects, with a focus on timberland transactions. Matheus has also spent several years abroad in the US and the Netherlands in various positions at both Kellogg Co. and H. J. Heinz. Matheus earned his BSc from Cornell University and MSc from Wageningen University.
Mark Wishnie, Managing Director - Research
A forester with over 10 years of Latin American forestry experience, Mark is responsible for all investment research, and financial analysis of investment opportunities. Mark previously served as Program Director of the Yale Tropical Resources Institute, as Director of the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute's Native Species Reforestation Project, and as a consultant to forestry companies, universities, government agencies, and NGOs in Latin and North America. Mark is a Senior Fellow of the Environmental Leadership Program and holds a B.S. in Forestry from the University of Washington and a Master of Forest Science from Yale University.
Mitchell Kosches, Chief Operating Officer
Mitch has spent his career in accounting, finance, and investment banking. Mitch is responsible for the successful execution of Equator and TTG Brasil's day-to-day operations. Prior to joining TTG, Mitch was the CFO of Chatham Energy Partners, LLC (acquired by The Intercontinental Exchange, NYSE ticker "ICE") and Madison Trading, LLC. Mitch also worked as an investment banker, first at Gruntal & Co., and later at Brean Murray and Co., Inc. Mitch also served as an accounting manager in Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette's Merchant Banking Group. Mitch is a licensed CPA, and earned his B.S. from the State University of New York at Albany and his M.B.A. from New York University's Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
Edith Torres, Staff Accountant
Edith has a background in internal audit and accounting. Edith is responsible for the daily financial operations at Equator, including cash management, accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger maintenance. Prior to joining Equator, Edith was a staff accountant at New York based hedge fund, Moore Capital Management, LLC. Prior to Moore, Edith was as an internal auditor and staff accountant for the Shubert Organization, Inc. Edith received her B.B.A in Accounting at Berkeley College in New York and is currently finishing up her M.B.A in Finance at Grand Canyon University.
